Wrawby Postmill is situated one mile north of the market town of Brigg. It is accessed by Mill Lane in Wrawby, North Lincolnshire. Mill Lane is accessed directly from the A18 (Melton Road).
When visiting Wrawby Postmill we recommend that you allow yourself up to 2 hours for your visit. Car parking spaces are available but please note that the parking is only available on open days or for scheduled group visits.
Unfortunately there are not toilet facilities available at the Postmill due to its location.
On your visit you will be able to listen to our volunteers tell you about the wonderful history of the mill and show you how the old machinery works all whilst taking in the spectacular views of the Lincolnshire Wolds from the top of the mill. Our visitors can also enjoy looking at our collection of milling tools and instruments in the round house. Some lucky visitors can also have the chance to help us to turn the mill if the wind changes during the time you are with us.
Our younger visitors can, for a small cost, enjoy one of our activity packs whilst feasting on some of our fresh baked biscuits and juice.
We offer something for everyone.
Wrawby Postmill is unfortunately not accessible to all due to its location and the stairs. Please read our accessibility statement for full details(link)
We are more than happy to open up the Postmill to allow for group visits. In the past we have opened for local history groups, windmill enthusiast groups and U3A groups. We are able to offer you guided tours of the mill from our Society members and are able to send you out a detail pack upon request. If you are interested in visiting as a part of a group please fill in the contact us form and we will contact you with the details.
We are able to offer school groups a tailored visit to suit the needs of each individual group. We offer an education pack to schools which includes a detailed information section, activities and national curriculum links as well as a copy of our health and safety policy and a comprehensive risk assessment.
